Chalk It Up to Ol’ Age

Hi!  A fellow glass lover has gotten herself into a pickle the past few days…seemed like a familiar pickle to me.  I recall being in my 20s (heck sometimes it still happens to me) being overly passionate about something and sticking my foot in my mouth.  Every person has been through these scenarios (some of us block them from out memories).  It is the way we learn…and now that I am one of those ol’ peeps, I look at Carter Seibel’s situation and fondly remember my own life lessons.  As the older set we need to gently and kindly help our fellow friends when they become overly passionate and all knowing, and set them straight with grace too.  We should be able to see where they are coming from since we walked along similar paths.  It was interesting to read the threads on LampworkEtc Forum

My final thought:  Be kind to others.

Fay

P.S. Carter creates beautiful beads.  My favorite are her Aztec and Pinwheels Series.

  1. Hi Fay-
Thanks…..again. For being nice, for remembering that we all make mistakes, and for understanding that being mean doesn’t really solve anything. If I learned anything at all from all of this, it’s to be a nicer person than I am already, because kindness is the only thing that makes this world a better place. And mean-ness is really the only thing that makes it a sadder place. Really pretty simple.
Have a good one, thanks for the shout-out!
    Carter
