Hi!!  I just sent a Newsletter today…it is the first Newsletter that I have sent out in quite a while.  It actually confirms to me that I should be in the studio melting glass more often.  Thank you for all of your support!! 

Life is going fabulous.  I have a new job that I am really enjoying.  I am helping teachers integrate technology in their classrooms.  It is very interesting!!

I am off to the Post Office to ship boxes off.

Hi! The Get Together was amazing.  There were over 20 us that gathered at the new Industrial Arts Center in Gulfport which is only 35 minutes away from me!  We shared tips, tricks, and showed off our pretties.  I demoed a lizard.  When I first started lampworking, I learned how to make these from Al Janelle and made bunches of them.  So I thought since I live in Geckoland, that a Gecko type bead would be perfect as the first demo for our gathering.  I can’t wait for the next Get Together November 8th.  So if you are a glassy peep, come on over and hang out with us.

Hi!  I am so excited-only two more weeks until our first Tampa Bay area lampwork get together.  Yippeee!!!!  I need to practice a bead to demo…I am thinking of something Halloweenish…that should be fun!!!  Maybe something ghoulish…spooky….booorific!

Should I take the hint…the last four days I have been offered to teach lampworking in 3 different facilities in the Tampa area.
…hmmmmm…would anybody even want to take a class with me??????

How cool is it….. when something catches your eye and you see a blur of something familiar, something that was a part of you, something that you created?  That is what happened to me.  I was reading threads on a forum and in the corner of my eye I saw something that looked like cool flames, so, I had to go check it out.  And, when I did I noticed some of my best beading buddies beads and a litt’l mask of mine peeking up at me!  That really made my night and makes me energized to go create a few beads!

Hi! Flaming Hot’s question for this week is “What are the little ways you enjoy glass and the business you run?”  I love glass.  I dream about glass.   Being able to squeeze in time to melt glass is being in heaven.  Balancing a fulltime job, family, and a business has been difficult for me to readjust to and do well.  For now, my glass business has had to take a back seat.  I am sure as time goes by I will get back in the swing of things and be able to perfectly balance the three aspects of my life.  So, for me the small moments in the studio are what I yearn for.
